After a 3 week pause, we are now finally moving forward again. Dan and Harald of Insul Hub have been on site this week and have already laid 6 courses of blocks for the basement. The first window on the front is taking shape and the internal walls for the garage and basement will be next on the list.
You may wonder why we have had this pause at all? The original construction plan was predicated around the use of an electric tower crane which would have reduced construction time, noise and vehicle movements. Unfortunately, this did not prove practical and we have had to revert to more traditional methods, which will involve more concrete pumps, mobile cranes and elevators.
Hopefully, we can recover some of the lost time but the forecast for Practical Completion (PC) for the shell is now 24 September.
