After demolition and clearance of the site, we are now starting to make progress towards the new build.
Local firm GE Groundworks has previously been on site in January re-shaping the rear garden into terracing to make the most of the space that we have. Geoff Edwards and his team are now back to excavate the site of the new house.
We are on a sloping site and the design of the building makes the most of this by creating a basement, cut into the hill. However, this entails the extraction of a vast quantity of clay and chalk which is being removed by a fleet of grab lorries from another local firm, Fleetwood Grab Services Ltd.
Additional plant for the work is being supplied by Southern Plant and Tool Hire of Henley.
