Building Control paid their first visit to the site on 25 May and confirmed that everything was up to standard and ready to pour the ground floor slab. We have used Build Store at the NSBRC or all of our site insurances, building warranties and building control inspections. This puts all of the key activities in one place and reduces the number of site visits as the Building Control surveyor is inspecting for both Building Regulations and Building Warranty. Our allocated surveyor is Sami from Approved Consultant Services.
The ground floor slab was poured today, 28 May 2021, and marks a significant milestone in the build programme.
A 36m concrete pump was supplied by Cobra Pumps of Faringdon and 48m3 of a self-levelling concrete mix was supplied by Hanson.
Several hours of tamping and levelling later, the slab was complete to Insul Hub’s satisfaction and was left to cure over the Bank Holiday weekend.
