Moving on to managing trades …

A short week leading up to Easter but lots of activity!

The rendering team from M B Facades continued to apply the basecoat of the Wetherby render system, which includes a mesh, stop beads and the grey render basecoat.  Gary, Dave, Will and James have incredible skill in getting everything absolutely level and square, all done by eye.

On Thursday, Yen and his team from Eco Energy Environment fitted the roof rails and the first 5 photovoltaic (PV) panels to the roof.  The weather was perfect (warm and no wind) for fitting all 40 panels (c12kW generating capacity) but the delivery from Solar Watt in the Netherlands failed to materialise despite having been promised for first thing in the morning (a transport distributor issue rather than Solar Watt).  This will now have to be completed after Easter.  We have selected the Solar Watt Vision 60M glass-glass panel, which is more robust than glass-foil panel, and should generate c320W per panel.

Heroes Scaffolding were back on Wednesday to make some changes to make it easier to reach all wall areas for the rendering team.

On Tuesday, Graham, our electrician from G T Electric Services called in for a pre-start meeting.  He plans to start first fix in early May.

On Thursday, Christian from Deuren Doors called in to measure up the internal doors.

Next week, we are expecting Total Home Environment to start the first fix for the Mechanical Ventilation and Heat Recovery (MVHR), including the air source heat pumps (ASHP) and ducting.
